Suspects have so far eluded capture following an armed robbery on Wednesday, July 12, in Fredericksburg.
At approximately 3:16 p.m. last Wednesday, the Fredericksburg Police Department received a call about an armed robbery at the Cash Store at 1426 East Main Street.
It was reported that two African-American males and one Hispanic male held the clerk to gunpoint with a handgun.
The handgun was not discharged, according to the FPD, and there were no reported injuries.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken and all three suspects fled in a vehicle described as a dark blue or black Ford Mustang with paper license tags.
Since then, it has been reported that similar robberies occurred in Cedar City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Photos of the suspects from security cameras at the Cash Store match the photos of the subjects involved in the robberies in Nevada and Utah, the FPD said.
“We heard from other law enforcement officials that the group have conducted three or four other robberies and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation looks to get involved in the case,” Lt. Braxton Roemer of the Fredericksburg Police Department said.
The trio, along with a female, entered an Advance America store in Cedar City, Utah and demanded cash before displaying a weapon to the clerk, according to thespectrum.com, a USA Today affiliate in St. George, Utah.
Roemer said law enforcement believes they have identified the female and have issued a warrant for her arrest; however, the other three subjects are still at large.
