Austin Reptile Service will bring nonvenomous snakes and lizards for Pioneer Memorial Library’s summer reading program at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 5.
Due to the summer heat, the program will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, located at 110 W. Austin St.
This interactive program is fun for all ages, organizers said. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
“Come learn all about these awesome reptiles,” said Linda Heimann, spokesperson. “Everyone will get the chance to meet the animals up close and be able to pet and interact with them.”
Book sale donations
The library continues to accept books and DVDs for the Friends annual book sale. Proceeds from the book sale fund the summer reading program at the library.
Donations will be accepted any time the library is open. Books are asked to be in good condition.
The library is located at 115 W. Main St. For more information, call 830-9976513.
