Gillespie residents mirror statewide voting
On Tuesday, Nov. 7, 5,333 Gillespie County voters cast their ballots in the 2023 Constitutional Amendment Election and were lockstep voting-wise with the rest of Texas in all but two propositions.
“The turnout was abysmal, but it’s a good abysmal,” said County Elections Administrator Jim Riley. “The turnout was better than we expected. In our last amendment election (May 2022) we had 4,000 show up.”
