New county judge reflects on first year in office

When Gillespie County Judge Daniel Jones took office a year ago, he succeeded the longest-sitting county judge in county history.  Mark Stroeher, who has deep family roots in the community, held office for 28 consecutive years.

Jones moved to the area in 2014, initially serving as a municipal judge and then the Fredericksburg city attorney in 2017.
