There is one significant storm system that will cross the southern half of the country, including Texas.
This system arrives locally late Friday night into Saturday.
The low pressure system will move across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle region with a Pacific cold front moving across the Hill Country by Saturday morning.
A line of showers and thunderstorms will be possible during this time along and ahead of the cold front.
There are also signs that a few storms could develop Friday afternoon well ahead of the cold front.
Friday and Saturday will be the potentially most active weather days across the Hill Country with storm possibilities throughout the area.
Mild temperatures
Wednesday and Thursday will be mild across the area.
Highs warm into the 60s and 70s both days.
Wednesday will be dry with regard to rain chances and low humidity values.
The humidity should be higher on Thursday as southerly winds bring us moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
Lows at night end up in the 40s Wednesday night with 50s likely Thursday night.
Friday morning starts out with some low clouds and fog once again.
Rain chances Friday
Friday is when our forecast pattern begins to change.
We start off with low clouds and fog along with some light drizzle or light rain showers.
The cloud deck will be more pronounced Friday with plenty of low level moisture in the air.
Friday will be fairly mild with highs in the 60s and 70s once again.
If sunshine breaks out in the afternoon, we could warm into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees for a few areas.
South winds are expected during the day.
Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.
Storms Friday night
Showers and thunderstorms are most likely Friday night through Saturday morning as a cold front moves across the area.
Storms could produce some gusty winds and small hail.
Lows end up in the 40s and 50s.
Windy weekend
Rain chances may be over with by Saturday morning followed by windy and cooler weather conditions with highs in the 60s.
Lows Saturday night fall into the 40s.
Sunday is windy and near average with highs in the 60s.
Winds could gust up to 25 to 30 mph.
A stronger cold front keeps highs in the 50s and 60s Monday and Tuesday.
