The new member is Mary Alice Deike. Her Revolutionary War Patriot was Corporal Nathaniel Jarvis of New York. Regent Christi McAllister and Chaplain Martha Lucas performed the ceremony with members present voicing their affirmation. The Ephraim Andrews Chapter DAR will hold its annual George Washington Tea and hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
The Good Citizen Award will be presented to two local high school seniors. The chapter will also commemorate the birthdays of President George Washington and President Abraham Lincoln at a social time following the meeting. The Daughters will dress for the tea with hats and gloves but they are not required.
