Dripping Springs artist Matt Hall will present at the April 4 monthly meeting of Die Künstler Von Fredericksburg on how his artwork brings military history to life.
A traditionally trained artist, Hall began his career illustrating greeting cards and working in children’s television production before moving on to DreamWorks Studios as an art director. There he worked on many projects, including the Medal of Honor video- game series and with Steven Spielberg on the movie, Flags of Our Fathers.
Both King Charles III and former President George W. Bush have Hall’s lithographs in their art collections. Hall’s influences include NC Wyeth, Normal Rockwell and Frederic Remington.
Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Gillespie County Historical Society, 312 West San Antonio Street. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Hall. Admission is open to the public and free to attend.
