Peak blooms
The Hill Country should continue to see “good flushes of color” for at least the rest of April, if not longer, provided it rains, according to Beth McMahon, Gillespie County Horticulture Extension Agent.
And although local bluebonnets have peaked and are beginning to go to seed, the Indian blankets (firewheels) and zexmenia are starting to ramp up.
