A ‘Safter’ way to make Mustang grape juice
Summer once meant going barefoot. Stepping on grass burrs was routine, but most of our yard was swept, i.e., bare earth — much of it kept so by shade from giant hackberry trees. Under them we readied peaches to sell and, at least once each summer, a bushel or more of freshly harvested Mustang Grapes for jelly.
