Amesquite tree can survive about anything. You can mow over a small one, it will grow right back. Chop down a mature one, it will resprout. The foliage can freeze, the tree just grows more. Fire and herbicides can’t always kill mesquites, either. Yet now, something doesn’t seem quite right.
