Chicken Pot Pies changed the kitchen
There are foods which elicit memories — pot pies do that for me. I first encountered pot pies in 1965 after moving to Seguin. Teaching netted about $100 a week then — sufficient for a month’s rent. Some went for groceries and the balance for orchard expenses here in my hope of returning one day. Eating out occasionally, I spent no more than $1.25 on any entrée.
