Nimitz women went their own way

Catherine Freeman from Quincy, Massachusetts met Lt. Chester Nimitz over a game of bridge. The Navy sent Nimitz to Quincy in 1911 to oversee the installation of a diesel engine in the submarine Skipjack, his next command.
