The Fredericksburg High School Red-Hotts dance troupe placed third overall at the Sea World San Antonio Nationals Dance Contest.

The Red-Hotts recently returned from its final contest winning multiple awards for its team and solo routines, directors Jennifer Boyd and Melody Houston announced.

Team and individual awards from the contest were listed as follows:

• Team Awards — 1st place, Kick; 1st place, Production; 2nd place, Jazz routine.

• Judges Award for Production Routine

• High Gold Award — Kick Routine

• Sea World Overall, 3rd Place National Champion. (The squad had the third-highest average overall score of the day.)

• Solo Awards (12th grade) — 1st place, Elisabeth Boyd; 4th place, Grace Kunz.

• Solo Awards (10th grade) — 2nd place, Kaitlin Yoder/

• Technique Challenge — Turn finalist, Elisabeth Boyd; Kick finalist, Nadia Reyes.

• Platinum Solos — Elisabeth Boyd, Grace Kunz and Kaitlin Yoder.

• Division I Solo — Nadia Reyes.
